Your privacy is our priority.

We are dedicated to protecting the confidentiality and security of information we collect about you. This notice describes our privacy policy and what we do with your private information.

How we work with you and your private information.

When we meet, determine what services you need, provide investment advice to you and process transactions for your account, we’ll ask you to provide us with necessary information. Within the constraints of our conversation, we may recommend other services using that information (e.g. suggesting you refinance a student loan).

This is typically what we’ll need to collect:

  • Name and address

  • Social Security or taxpayer identification number

  • Assets

  • Income

  • Account balance

  • Investment activity

  • Accounts at other institutions

We won’t sell your personal information to anyone. Ever.

We know how annoying that can be, and frankly it’s just flat-out wrong.

At TFC we treat information about current and former clients and their accounts confidentially. We may access information and provide it to third parties only to complete a transaction you’ve requested or providing other services to you.

We won’t disclose any nonpublic information about our customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. Or you.

At your request, we may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, lawyers, securities professionals and others to assist us, or them, in providing services to you. We may also share information with companies that perform services on our behalf, such as the companies that we hire to perform marketing or administrative services. Companies we may hire to provide support services are not allowed to use your personal information for their own purposes. We may make additional disclosures as permitted by law. We also maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information. Employees and our professional service representatives are required to comply with our established information confidentiality provisions. If your personal information with us becomes inaccurate, or if you need to make a change to that information, please contact us.

We’ll provide notice of changes in our information sharing practices.

If it’s necessary to disclose any of your personal information in a way that is inconsistent with this policy, we will give you advance notice of the proposed change so that you’ll have the opportunity to opt out of it. We may revise this policy from time to time and post the new version on our website, which will be applicable upon posting. Please check our website from time to time and make sure that you are aware of the most recent version of this Privacy Policy. You will find the date that the policy was last revised at the top of this Privacy Policy.
